Patna(Bihar) (19 November 2024) - Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered a Disproportionate Assets case on 17/11/2024 against an accused Sr. Section Engineer of CAO/CON/MHX, ECR, Patna, on the basis of communication dated 17.11.2024, received from Supdt. of Police, District - Buxar alleging that during the course of Police Patrolling, a four wheeler was intercepted at the toll plaza Dalsagar. The person concerned who was sitting in the said vehicle was said accused, Sr. Section Engineer. It was further alleged that during search of the personal belongings of said accused, a jeans trouser was found which contained small gunny bag in which 08 no of gold bars, each of 100 gram of 99.50 fine gold with total weight of 800 grams were recovered.
Further, it was alleged that accused could not produce receipt/ voucher for having purchased the same and nor could he explain the possession of the same. The said vehicle along with the driver and accused were brought to Police Station.
Searches are being conducted at the premises of accused which led to recovery of incriminating documents etc.
